Server Setup in Creo

If your organization is set up to use an on-premise or custom CadActive server, you will need to point your CadActive Client for Creo to the appropriate server URLs.

You can add/edit/modify the server your Creo session will access using the CadActive Server Manager, found in "About -> Tools -> Server Manager"

The Server Manager also supports Importing/Exporting server configurations using the "File" option at the top of the Server Manager.

Manual Setup - cadactive-server.json

The cadactive-server.json file is for pointing organizations servers somewhere other than CadActive's productive server. It can point to:

  • CadActive's staging server
  • A local or custom server

Within this file, you can point the API and APP URLs to a custom location.

This file should be placed in your CadActive 'config' folder - typically located in %localappdata%\CadActive\config

An example file can be found (here).
